Job Posting: Refrigeration Maintenance Manager
Location: Sterling & Alexandria, VA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift (Weekends as Necessary)
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 (Relocation Considered)
About the Role:
Adecco is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Maintenance Manager to oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems at our Sterling and Alexandria manufacturing facilities. This position requires a strong background in manufacturing refrigeration, with a preference for candidates who have Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and repair Ammonia Refrigeration Systems and other mechanical counterparts.
Oversee industrial/building maintenance, facility upkeep, and repair.
Conduct daily equipment checks and documentation.
Evaluate machinery, equipment, and facility needs for maintenance and repairs.
Track and log materials and resources for projects and maintenance.
Manage small teams and projects while ensuringpliance with safety regulations.
Work in varying temperatures from -40F to 110F and on elevated equipment when necessary.
Ensure food safety and quality standards are met in accordance with SQF requirements.
Perform data entry on the Maintenance Management System and PSM Web-Site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in Ammonia Refrigeration & Maintenance (preferably in food or beverage manufacturing).
Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) for ammonia refrigeration.
CIRO Certification (or ability to obtain within an acceptable timeframe).
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience with freezer doors, truck bay levelers, and building maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in extreme temperatures, and perform prolonged standing/stopping.
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience in capital budgeting, project management, and preventive maintenance.
Must be available for on-call, after-hours, and occasional weekend work.
