We are a licensed rental property management company seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the full accounting cycle for our managed rental properties portfolio.
The ideal candidate should have experience in property management accounting and will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the accounting process.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Accounting Cycle Management: Oversee the entire accounting process (Receivables & Payables) for assigned properties, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions
Rent Collections: Ensure accurate rent amounts are collected from tenants, conducting necessary follow-ups on overdue payments
Invoice Posting: Post vendor and service invoices into the accounting system, ensuring all invoices are paid within the cut-off date
Strata Fee Payments: Process and manage monthly payments for strata fees
Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices for monthly utilities to tenants, monthly office fee charges to the realtors and ensure timely billing and collections.
Owner Disbursements: Process disbursements to property owners, ensuring all transactions are recorded and accounted for appropriately
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations for trust accounts
Qualifications:
Background in rental property management accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks), Advance Excel & Outlook Exchange
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
