To ensure success, maintenance supervisors should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, cleaning and operation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Onboards, organizes, and oversees the schedules and work of Maintenance Department Staff Repair Project Management Preforms Departmental Audits such as PM, Safety, and Repair Activities Ensure all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Maintain safe working practices. This includes, but is not limited to in department managing of the following programs: PPE, lockout-tagout, confined space entry, chemical handling, working at height, etc. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. (Food / beverage industry experience preferred.) Minimum 2 years' experience in people management / supervisory experience. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays Experience with Microsoft Office tools and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Experience with sanitary pipes, fittings, values, Fluid Power and Power Transmission Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Warehouse Setting: The role is primarily based in a warehouse manufacturing environment with occasional use of the office area. Manufacturing area is a large space with industrial equipment that fluctuates in temperature. Office area has equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Team Collaboration : Frequent interaction with team members and other departments, requiring effective communication and collaboration. Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment may be loud. The use of ear plugs will be required in specified areas. Sitting: Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Communication : Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and over the phone. Mobility : Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend as required for the entire shift. Lifting : Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
