Job Summary
Hoffman Building Technologies is seeking a Business Operations Manager to optimize and streamline our operational processes in HVAC, building automation, and energy solutions . This role will ensure efficient business functions, improve workflow, and drive strategic growth by managing cross-functional teams and operational performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in operations, project management, and financial oversight within the HVAC, construction, or building technology industries .
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless workflow across departments.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks in business processes and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Drive process automation and leverage technology to optimize operations.
Project & Resource Management
- Collaborate with sales, project management, field service teams, and technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate service and installation schedules for optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor supply chain and procurement processes , ensuring materials and equipment arrive on time and within budget.
Financial & Performance Analysis
- Manage budgets, job costing, and financial reporting to support profitability.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights for decision-making.
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams to streamline billing and collections.
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Lead and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies .
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between sales, service, and administration teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role within HVAC, building automation, construction, or related industries .
- Proficiency in ERP, CRM, project management software, and scheduling tools .
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills .
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and energy solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS), energy management, or smart building technologies .
- PMP, Six Sigma, or LEED certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with vendor management and supply chain logistics in HVAC .
