In order to support our growth, we are hiring an Accounting Operations Manager to be responsible for overseeing the general ledger and treasury functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, managing audit processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves collaborating with the external auditors, managing cash flow and treasury functions, and implementing new financial accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will be a people person with a friendly, outgoing personality someone who enjoys working with team members and various employees, a CPA professional with minimum five years experience preparing financial statements.

You will report to the Managing Director of our Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both external and internal auditors, facilitating communication and ensuring the timely and successful completion of the external audit process.

  • Support the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and comply with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Manage the preparation of consolidated financial disclosure notes for parent reporting.

  • Research and implement new accounting pronouncements, ensuring the company adopts and complies with updated financial accounting standards as required.

  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls and operating procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Oversee the companys cash flow, banking relationships, investments, and borrowing needs to optimize cash management.

  • Manage and guide the Internal Audit department, ensuring audit findings are addressed promptly and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

  • Ensure financial statements are reported accurately and on time

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Duties

  • Meet with external auditors to discuss audit matters, follow up on audit findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to address identified issues.

  • Perform specific balance sheet reconciliations

  • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations. Ensure all journal entries are processed accurately and in a timely manner, including creating and maintaining standard journal entries.

  • Review the general ledger and financial reports from JD Edwards, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Manage the companys cash flow, ensuring daily banking activities, including investments and borrowings, are effectively handled

  • Manage relationships with key banking partners to optimize financial services and transactions.

  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill responsibilities
